Just found out that the trailer for the upcoming third Hellsing Ultimate has been put up on the official Japanese website.

Originally slated for a February release in Japan, the third Hellsing Ultimate OAV was pushed back due to the uncomplete action figure of Anderson which is set to be included in the special edition dvd. Hellsing Ultimate 3 will now be coming out in Japan tomorrow, April 4th, instead.

In anticipation of the release, they have released a brand new trailer for it. You can check it out right here, or you can also watch it here on YouTube:

According to Wikipedia, the third OAV will feature a meeting with Iscariot, the introduction of the new mercenaries called Wild Geese, along with new characters from the manga which were never before animated such as Pip, and a vampire called Alhambra, who Alucard will duel with.

For those wondering, the second Hellsing Ultimate has yet to be released in english in North America. While Hellsing Ultimate 3 is being released in Japan tomorrow, Hellsing Ultimate 2 will be officially released by Geneon in the U.S and Canada in June. It is currently unknown when Hellsing Ultimate 3 will be released here, but it probably won’t be for another few months after the second one is released in June.

I must say the trailer for the third Hellsing Ultimate looks really good, but most of all it looks pretty different compared to what I’ve seen in the tv series. I guess this OAV will be where the two series really start to diverge and show quite abit of difference and really start following the manga more with introducing new manga characters, plots, and more. I haven’t seen the guy with the braid before but I’m guessing he’s Pip, Seras’s potential love interest from the manga. Alhambra personally sounds abit more interesting to me, I don’t think he was in the tv series (at least not that I remember anyway) but it sounds like he’s another member of the Millenium Organization. Since I haven’t read the manga it’ll be very interesting and cool to see how this fight plays out. Also, it seems like we’ll get to see the return of Anderson in this one, which should also be pretty cool.
